Curious what you think of the claim in the blog post linked to the article – is there merit to the claim that the stimulus created 100s of thousands of jobs, but that unemployment is still higher than was predicted simply because the White House grossly underestimated the depth of the recession?
I’d love to see some sensitivity analysis that puts the claim to the test in various scenarios – just how bad did the economy have to be to thwart all the good the stimulus would have created? How would you even measure such a thing?
