   Great picture, but if you had eagerly looked into this crystal ball looking for a spike, you would have sold when it crossed the ~3.5 threshold in 2003, which was uncharted territory. You would have missed out on the upside of the next few years and the tax benefits of owning the home.

   Who knows where this will shake out though, maybe you still would have looked like a genius.
