Nums: The cable news race …

As reported by Drudge …

I’ve started to tire of O’Reilly, but he still holds a commanding lead.

Constantly amazed that Stewart & Colbert get classified as news shows … though frequent surveys say that many people do use them as their primary news source.

No surprise that MSNBC continues to get hammered in the ratings.

Kinda sad that that CNN continues to slip … key shows running even with Al Sharpton’s show … ouch.

I have a hard time calling almost ANY of the shows here news. For the most part they are commentary, or editorial, or just “reality” TV, complete with “starring roles”. I have a basic test I use for rating things as news. If the “reporter” is in the picture more than 30% of the time, and not what he/she is reporting on, it is something other than news.

For news I surf the net and actually read the newspaper. My favorite saying “It’s not news…it’s CNN” goes double for FOX.
