According to the Daily Caller (and numerous other sources)…
Seattle Public Schools are now offering a course for K-12 students titled “Math Ethnic Studies.”
The permeating theme: mathematics is fundamentally racist.
Say, what?

Among the concerns embedded in the new Seattle curriculum are:
- Math knowledge is generally credited to (privileged) white males, appropriating the contributions of other persons, communities and cultures.
- Math is sterile, without social conscience or feeling.
- Math’s basic terms addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are in themselves socially disruptive trigger words.
- Math’s emphasis on right and wrong answers places oppressive powers in the hands of those dictating which answers are correct .
- Mathematical knowledge (think: standardized testing) has is “used to oppress and marginalize people and communities of color”
Yipes.
