OK, I’m a doting grandfather and may be getting ahead of myself, but…
We’re very proud of 7-year-old Maddie who performed this Christmas season in the Nutcracker with The Washington Ballet.
Here’s the backstory in pictures…
=============
Maddie started taking ballet lessons a couple of years ago …
This year, she auditioned and got selected for a part in the Washington Ballet’s Nutcracker.
After practicing every Saturday & Sunday for two months, she made her big stage debut at DC’s historic Warner Theater in a show-stopping role as a dancing bee.
The crowd went wild when Maddie and the rest of the hive tip-toed across the stage.
Well, at least the part of the crowd packed in our friends and family rows.
After one of Maddie’s performances, her cousins greeted her at the stage door with congratulatory flowers and smiles.
Viva la diva…
We’re proud of you, Maddie!
