Women & children, widows & orphans … a week of mumbo jumbo.

We’re all used to politicians and government officials saying dumb stuff, but still, this week stands out, doesn’t it?

First, President Obama declares confidently he has ISIS contained.

A few hours later, ISIS radicals kill 129 innocent people in Paris.

Contained where? To the face of the earth?

Then, to show sympathy to the French, he declares the murderers’ rampage to be a “minor setback” in the non-war on terror.

Minor setback?

Tell that to the families of the 129.

When asked about the Paris massacres, Hillary refused to even call the perps “radical Islamic terrorists”, for fear that their feeling might get hurt.

Say, what?

Then she declared that “we’re not at war with Islam, we’re fighting jihadists, not radical Islamic terrorists”.

Memo to Mrs. Clinton from Merriam-Webster:

In other words, a jihadist is a radical Islamic terrorist, you knucklehead.

And, it doesn’t end there.

Then John Kerry takes the mic to proclaim that at least in the Charlie Hebo terrorist attack — you remember, cartoonists were killed for drawing Muhammad — there was a “legitimacy, err, rationale for the killings”.

That, from the top U.S. diplomat.

It’s ok to murder folks as long as you have a rational?

Back to DC, the President scolds the Republicans for opposing immediate seating for the Syrian refugees – “now, they are afraid of women & children and widows and orphans.”

Cue the terrorists in Paris.

One of them blows herself up.

By all accounts she was a woman. By some accounts she was even a widow.

Oh, and by the way, the Paris terrorists are reported to have had a few underage gang members.

Yep, children … and likely ophans.

Finally, several administration officials claimed that Syrian refugees would be put through a “robust screening process”.

That despite, the FBI Director saying that there is no background information on these folks.

No Equifax report; no Syrian arrest records; no Syrian records, period.

No problem, they’ll be interviewed by Fed agents who will be trained to pick up on discrepancies in their stories.

Yeah, right.

And, on the same day, another report was released saying that the TSA failed another broad scale test – letting through over 75% of test bags that contained contraband.

We can’t spot a gun on an x-ray of a bag, but we’ll be able to catch a nuance of contradiction in some guy’s story?

Geez, gimme a break.

What a week of mumbo-jumbo …
