Biden: “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.”

Where have I heard that one before?

===============

Joe Biden’s first presidential run in 1988 cratered amid multiple instances of plagiarism. Source

So, you’d think that he would have learned his lesson and stayed squeaky clean in the 2020 campaign.

Not so …

Countering the ultra-liberals Medicare for All (MFA), decided to reprise Obama’s infamous healthcare line.

So, what’s the rub?

============

The rub: That line was was selected by left-leaning Politifact as the 2013 “Lie of the Year”.

PolitiFact counted 37 times when he’d included no caveats, such as a high-profile speech to the American Medical Association in 2009:

“If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”

As PolitiFact observed:

It was a catchy political phrase but an impossible promise to keep.

What’s worse is that “they” knew it and kept repeating it.

Why?

Because they figured that folks would be too stupid to see through the lie.

How do I know?

Prof. Jonathan Gruber said so.

Gruiber is an MIT economist who  was one of the primary architects of ObamaCare.

He was caught on video  speaking quite frankly about the crafting of ObamaCare.

His basic message:

Basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or what … that was critical to getting the bill to pass

Watch the video … it’s even more chilling to hear Prof. Gruber say the words: Obfuscate and bank on American stupidity.

So, why would Biden reopen this can of worms?

Your guess is as good as mine.
