Bubba turns on Comey … Congress gives Comey a chance to strike back.

August 17, 2016

Over the weekend, former President Bill (Bubba) Clinton lashed out at FBI Director James Comey.

You may remember that Comey laid out the evidence against Hillary … and then let her walk.

Righties were displeased because of Comey’s illogic: The conclusion didn’t follow from the premises.

Lefties simply dispute premises … since they reveal Hillary to be a boldface liar.

Hubby summed it up: “Comey is full of bull …)

Former President calling out the current FBI Director … who gave his wife a stay-out-of-jail free card.

My question: will Comey take that lying down?

He doesn’t have to … Congress just provided Comey with an opportunity to rehabilitate his cred as a straight arrow.

Do the top hedge fund managers really make more than all kindergarten teachers combined?

June 16, 2015

During her campaign  re-launch rally on Saturday, Hillary Clinton decided to take a swat at fat cats (with the present company excluded, of course).

Her applause line:

“The top-25 hedge fund managers making more than all of America’s kindergarten teachers combined.”

Since I didn’t hear the media do much fact-checking, I took a shallow dive into the numbers.

The answer may surprise you …

So, is it ok for the NSA to surveil @ClintonEmail?

March 10, 2015

OK, time to weigh in on Hillary going off the grid while Secretary of State …

Interesting article in the DailySignal – a right-leaning organization …

Basic conclusion: Hillary’s not alone …lots of government employees use personal email accounts to transact government business.

To be more precise – the survey says – about 1/3 of government employees conduct some or all of their government business.

So, why is it a problem Hillary did it, too?  Shouldn’t she get a pass since so many other government employees do the same?

Here’s why not …

Is 150 a big number or a little number?

September 12, 2014

In his speech this week, President Obama said:

Last month, I ordered our military to take targeted action against ISIL to stop its advances. Since then, we have conducted more than 150 successful airstrikes in Iraq.

He made it sound like a big deal … and built on the point, saying that the air strikes would continue across a wider target area.  Possibly extending into Syria.

Of course, the comment got me thinking … are 150 airstrikes a lot or a little?

Works out to about 5 missions per day … which doesn’t strike me as up there with shock & awe.

But, I wanted to put 5-a-day in context and got some counsel  from a friend…
